Distressing Wood

We have mentioned distressing wood a few times in the past few months, and we found this amazing tutorial from Morgan Kervin that explains the process very well. She distressed a baby bed for a photo prop, but you can use this for signs, pallet projects, and more.

All you need for this project is paint in at least one color (more colors can create a cool effect as you sand through each layer), steel wool, and sandpaper. Add to that a lot of time for the paint to dry, and muscle work to sand it back down, and you can create a beautifully distressed piece of part off of anything you choose that's wooden.
